Jane Shofer at Book Celebration EventJane Shofer epitomizes the Sevenfold Healing integration of scientific thinking and hands-on healing. A biostatistician who works at the University of Washingnton, Jane has supported major health studies of risk factors for diseases such as diabetes. When her work made her feel dry and unbalanced, Jane went back to school at the Northwest Institute for Oriental Medicine. She learned acupuncture and a variety of other healing modalities including Tibetan accutonics.
Since relocating to Canada with life partner and fellow statistician Steven McKinney, Jane has continued to telecommute to her job at the University of Washington, but has moved her healing practice to Vancouver, BC. Jane has co-created the Healing Studio concept. When the time is right, she may create additional bodywork practices for the support of sevenfold healing, and may participate in the development of educational programs for Guides and Masters.
