Timothy J Malone, Retreat Master

Tim Malone prepares his recording system at the Book Celebration EventWhen Timothy Malone was preparing to study medicine, he developed myalgic encephalomyelitis. Because the demands of his course of study exceeded his physical capacity, Tim turned to his other choice of vocation and began training as a Jesuit. When that, too, overtaxed his health, Tim embarked on a healing journey that has taken him through many periods of discernment and taken him on healing pilgrimages to healing sites around the world. Tim has sought healing through many indigenous spiritual, medical, and Shamanic traditions, including the Balinese medicine popularized in the book and film Eat, Love, Pray.

Tim’s integration of scientific and spiritual aspects of healing exemplify the way in which Sevenfold Healing weaves together ancient and modern traditions with an eye toward revitalizing and resacralizing modern global medicine. Tim is the Sevenfold Healing Retreat Creator, the voice of the audio books, and is developing ways to teach the twenty-six healing practices in The Chronic Illness Owner’s Manual. Tim lives in a hermitage near the Puget Sound writing Songs & poetry and serves as spiritual director with the Spiritual Exercises program (SEEL)

Tim writes, “The Seven levels of integration which this process engenders speaks to me as a comprehensive and liberating modality. I come to the team as a facilitator of deep awareness, a kind of contemplative state from which to open to healing on all levels. Entering into a state in which we can heal ourselves is often challenging to do all by ourselves.  To access this space of healing we may find great benefit from having a companion or a voice of support which leads us gently into that deeper state. In twenty years of study, teaching and spiritual practice I have been gratefully led to cultivate a number of ways to support the process of growth and wholeness, including guided meditations, music, and 1:1 “spiritual disciplines” Coaching.
