Will Blades, Composer and Musician

Composer and Musician Will Blades at Book Launch Event, with friend Pat and wife Berta (right)Will Blades represents the Northwest spirit of pioneering, independence, and compassion that characterizes Sevenfold Healing. After graduating from the creative writing program of the University of Washington, Will moved into a garret and lived the literary life for several years before deciding that deprivation did not enhance his creativity.

Will determined to make a million dollars so that he could become financially independent before retiring to undertake creative work. He and his business partner did just that, establishing and running a crab processing business in Dutch Harbor once featured on the Discovery Channel’s Deadliest Catch. He studied Zen, sang in the opera, summited a number of mountain peaks, enjoyed science fiction, and met and married wife Berta, who gave many years of service to the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. When Wiill and his partner sold their business, Will expected to write non-fiction, but his creative energies called him to compose New Age healing music for friends and family who were coping with illlness. The gentle, soothing, pieces of his Meditations collection offer wonderful support for practitioners of sevenfold healing, as do the sprightly pieces from Explorations.
